When receiving a service of $50+ or more a non refundable deposit is due the date of booking. This deposit will go towards your service total. If you cancel your appointment you will not get a refund. If you must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances the deposit will go towards your next scheduled appointment. We turn clients away for appointments and want to accommodate everyone's time. Deposits can be payable through square invoices. Thank you for understanding!
Studio Meraki Salon + Apothecary - 48 hour Cancellation Policy:
Because we are a small, locally owned salon + apothecary, cancellations effect us greatly. Our service providers take great pride in offering exceptional service to our guests. Our staff regularly attends continuing education classes as well as at least 3 private educational classes “in house” a year. We strive to offer a professional, positive and progressive environment for our staff and guests alike. When you cancel last minute and especially “no show” it is incredibly rude to our staff and other guests on our waiting list. Please inform us immediately if you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason. There are 2 easy ways to get ahold of us if you need to cancel for any reason, call 803-553-1720 or email us at Studiomerakiscn@gmail.com. We understand that sometimes you need to change your schedule. We kindly ask that you give us a 48 hour notice if you must cancel an appointment. You must provide a valid credit card to have on file for a service deposit (this goes towards your service total.) Any “no call, no shows" will be charged 100% of the services booked. If you “no call, no show” any appointment for any reason you will have to secure a future appointment with a non-refundable deposit (only non-refundable if you do not cancel within 48 hours or “no show”). If a habit or trend of cancelling or “no-show” is seen, customers will not be allowed to schedule at Studio Meraki Salon + Apothecary. Tardiness by 15 minutes or more is considered a “no show”. By scheduling with us you agree to the above terms. *We recommend that you schedule your next appointment prior to leaving the salon to ensure you have the most desirable appointment time.
Children are only permitted in the salon when having a service for safety reasons and insurance purposes, no child under the age of 10 may accompany you while you are having a service. We do not have the facilities to care for children. We love children, and We hope you understand, We cannot assure their safety in a professional ENVIRONMENT. We also do not want to compromise the relaxation of our other guests. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Studio Meraki accepts Visa, Master Card, and cash. We do not accept checks and we do not give cash back on any sales.
A “+” sign after some prices indicates price variations among service providers based on education and experience. After professionals complete training sessions and educational workshops with industry leaders, their prices increase to reflect a new skill level. Variations in pricing can also depend on the length and thickness of hair. We offer complimentary consultations for more specific pricing. GRATUITIES are not included in our pricing.
In South Carolina it is customary to tip 20% of the service to a salon professional. Although not mandatory, tipping the owner of a business is recommended as a token of appreciation for their time and skill. It is especially important to tip any apprentice assisting with shampoos, rinses and often blow outs. In most cases your tip is what compliments their day rate which is usually minimal. Typically a minimum of $5 for a shampoo, $10, $20 and up if they were involved in the toning, rinsing and blow drying your hair.
Our schedules are often a Tetris game of perfectly orchestrated appointments. Ten minutes [late] means we don't get a break, 15 minutes means our next client is not going to be very pleased, and 20 minutes means we probably can't take you and you may have to reschedule at our next available appointment. Tardiness more than 15 minutes will be considered a “no show”. Please refer to our cancelation policy.
Missed appointments without a notice or not in 48 hrs will incur a 50% fee of the service price scheduled. Must be paid in FULL before scheduling any future appointments. (This means appointments cancelled or no showed the day of, will receive a text or email in reference of the no show and an invoice to pay prior to booking any further appointments.) We turn away clients who would love your appointment time, this insures us that you are committing to this time. **This in no way effects anyone who has an emergency, sickness, family member Illness , death in family. (But if your Aunt Judy dies for a 3rd time in 2 years, We might not believe you!)

Text and Email Confirmations are sent out the day you book the appointment, 4 days before the appointment to confirm. The day before and we provide appointment card reminders. These are all a courtesy we provide to our clients, these all ways to remember your scheduled appointment.
Select Stylists do offer appointments after normal salon hours and days the salon is closed. We do require a fee (starting at $50) for these later appointments. Hair Extension appointments are an additional $200 for any After Hour Appointment times.

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your service at Studio Meraki,LLC, please notify the salon manager within 72 hours of the service date. Please be aware that we do not guarantee any services that are performed without a consultation or an appropriate finishing service.
Brushes, Professional tools, skin care, candles, makeup, apparel are ALL final sale! Hair products maybe be exchanged unto 7 days after purchase date.
